At the LA Auto Show, AutoblogGreen had a chance to talk with Richard Curtis Jr, the consolidated president of Mullen Technologies. He had many interesting things to say.

Here are a few of them:
* Curtis said he still gets multiple emails or calls every day from people asking if they can buy a Coda.

* "Coda did a good job developing the car," he said. "[They spent] $400 million, it's a nice car, it worked well but when they got to the starting line, it died."

* Mullen Technologies has since sold about 50 of the leftover Coda Sedan electric vehicles

* once Mullen Technologies decides to go to production, the 700e could be rolling off the line in as little as 90 days

* the 700e has 16 inch low rolling resistance tires instead of the original 17-inch low profile tires, and also has undercladding under the rear of the vehicle. Both of these changes increase the range from 125 miles to 150 miles

* the Mullen 700e will have a 40-kWh battery pack, up from the 31 kWh in the original Coda Sedan. Range would be around 180 miles.

* Mullen Technologies and Lishen (the battery pack manufacturer) are working on 50 kWh battery pack that would increase range to over 200 miles

* When the 700e makes it to production, the vehicle will have a new front and back end

* Mullen still has 85 old Coda Sedans just waiting for new battery packs
