My car was towed without my consent or supervision and sat for almost a month before I was able to get it back.
Now there are a few issues:
1) About 1 in 10 times that I put the car in drive, the red car comes up indicating a critical fault, but it drives fine and the red car goes away the second the car moves.
2) Nearly every time that I go for a drive, the battery temperature control is shown (on the "green screen") as cooling the battery and the battery temperature is shown to be dropping despite the fact that it is below the middle of the green area.
3) The lighting bolt comes on around half the time when I get to around a 50% soc.

Might anyone have any clue what could've happened to cause these things and how to fix them?

I really can't comment on what the issue may be but let me give you my experience.

I had almost the same symptoms about 6 months ago. I did not see the same battery temp issues, but the other two issues came up, but less frequently than what you experienced. My lightning bolt would come up about 40% SOC.

I ended up having to change the battery and my VFI never showed up again and my amber lightning bolt never lit up around 40% of charge. I bought this battery:

My 2cents.

Unfortunately, I let my car sit for a few days and I cannot even get it past the 'Ready'. But I'll save that for another thread.
