A couple of months ago, the AC stopped working in my Coda. When the round switch is depressed, the little "snowflake" light comes on, but the air is not cooling. I'm thinking it could just need a freon recharge, but since the car is only two years old, that seems unlikely.

Any suggestions? And do you think a standard auto air conditioning shop would be able to work on a Coda?

Thanks in advance.

The "basics" of the A/C should be serviceable by any qualified A/C shop (condenser, evaporator, dryer and compressor... just like any A/C system), the one major dif is it has an electric compressor (but the rear A/C of a Dodge Minivan uses an electric compressor, so even that should not be to big a hurdle)....... If you need parts, http://www.codacars.com/ might be your only choice. You can get a service and parts manual from CODA Cars too, it has a good A/C section in it... it is missing a few pictures, but it is overall complete.

If you end up needing an A/C unit, Rick has worked with Brian Hall at thunderstruck EV to provide service and parts. The A/C pump is here: http://www.thunderstruck-ev.com/coda-parts.html
