I wonder has anyone else had a suspension in the rear of the car that sags or sits as low as mine does.[/u] it seems the springs on this car can't hold itself up. I doubt the hafei saibao springs were not designed to hold the weight of this battery!! Planing on using motorcycle shocks or air bags or other solution to fix sag.

My Coda has the inner tread worn off both rear tires. This is surely caused by a negative camber or the top of the tires leaning in.

I'm trying to figure out, if I add additional springs to pickup the rear suspension if the camber problem would go away.

I had the same issue. The rear control arms are bent, because they're cheap Chinese steel. Thankfully the 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer rear control arms fit. Buy a set, have them installed and get the tires aligned, and you'll be back to motoring on electrons. The tires, you may just have to replace a bit earlier than planned unfortunately.

Thanks, I can get those off the 2004 lancer I pulled a set of used struts form.

That's right because changing the springs or even installing bags wouldn't really resolve the problem with the camber going wrong. This tech article shows how the struts and shocks work: Shocks vs. Struts: The Big Answers Revealed!

Solution found.

The real problem was all suspension grommets in the control arms were not centered in their rubber isolators they had all pushed to one side. I added spring helper blocks to raise car up, and adjusted eccentric bolts to correct camber. It is sitting correct now, but if it gets any worse it will require control arms just because the bushings are warped.

As I suspected the suspension is not adequate for the cars weight. It should have been somewhat up graded.

So Im tempted to install the ChargePoint Home "charger". Amazon offer install for 445. Seems expensive but convinent. Has anyone used their service?
